Module 9: Exit Tickets

  Graphic Organizer An exit ticket is a strategy that I used most days to gauge what students understood in class or what they need help with in the future. Students are expected to work individually. It does not help them as individuals to work together.  Empirical/Molecular Formulas Above is a set of notes that we will go through as a class. Students will engage in practice problems and can work with their partners.  At the end of the class, they will complete the exit ticket on slide 50.  Part 1 Mendelian Genetics Article Text Dependent Questions Part 2 Graphic Organizer (1) why you chose the text-dependent questions/ graphic organizer or note-taking tool, I chose the graphic organizer tool because it is something that we have implemented in our Chemistry classes at Freedom High School. Every quarter, research students are required to complete a research like project and we use a graphic organizer as seen above as a way to start the project. We call the initial portion their background research because they do the research to answer questions on the unit and project.  (2) how it is useful to learning and understanding the particular content you selected, and The students will follow the questions and will have to be engaged on their own to answer the questions.
