Module 10: Collaborative Conversations

  Jigsaw Graphic Organizer 3-2-1 Strategy 3: One of the primary key ideas from this week that sticks is that learning is done in a social setting. Students need to be able to interact with one another. This interaction needs to be planned. The second key idea is that each student needs to have a standard they have to meet and they need to be held accountable to the group so that way one person does not just do all of the work. The third key idea is that the work cannot be so easy that any one individual can complete the task on their own.  2: One strategy is a turn and talk. This is when a question is asked, each student is given time to reflect on the answer and then the instructor gives them 30 seconds- minutes of time to discuss what they came up with for an answer. Module 9: Exit Tickets

  Graphic Organizer An exit ticket is a strategy that I used most days to gauge what students understood in class or what they need help with in the future. Students are expected to work individually. It does not help them as individuals to work together.  Empirical/Molecular Formulas Above is a set of notes that we will go through as a class. Students will engage in practice problems and can work with their partners.  At the end of the class, they will complete the exit ticket on slide 50.
